The Folio Society has released 19 new editions for Autumn and they are so beautiful I wish I could buy them all! Sadly, I cannot but maybe a handful would be fine. Here are some of my favourites from the new collection.
The Folio Anthology of Horror Stories
llustrated by Corey Brickley
Introduced by Ramsey Campbell
Edited by Ramsey Campbell
Corey Brickley’s dark illustrations notch up the fear factor in this collection of terrifying tales tracing the history of horror from classic Edgar Allan Poe to contemporary Stephen King. – The Folio Society, £36.95
The inhabitants of the fairy realm are beautifully imagined in Charles van Sandwyk’s tales; exquisitely illustrated and brought together as a collection for the first time by The Folio Society. – The Folio Society, £39.95
Far from the Madding Crowd is Thomas Hardy’s tale of three contrary courtships set in his imagined county of Wessex. The new Folio Society edition is illustrated with stunning woodcuts by Peter Reddick. – The Folio Society, £34.95
Aristocratic privilege stands on a precipice in Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited, a nostalgic study of class and character, newly illustrated with Harry Brockway’s stylised woodcuts for this Folio Society edition. – The Folio Society, £34.95
Elaine lives in the lush green countryside of Ireland with her husband. She spends her time lost in the pages of books and journals, reading and creating for hours on end.
