Decorate your bookshelves with these DIY book page roses. They are pretty quick and easy to make using this template from Lia Griffith.
To create your rose you will need a book you don’t mind cutting out the pages of, scissors, pencil/pen, glue gun, wooden skewer, the template and watercolour paint if you decide to paint it.

These book roses look so beautiful and the tutorial video is easy to follow. I need to get over my reluctance to cut up books first before I’ll be able to try this craft myself. Perhaps I should try to find outdated manuals or non-fiction books in my local charity shops…

Outdated manuals is a good idea!

They are gorgeous. I think I’ll give these a try. A dozen, using bible pages (is it ok to destroy a bible, not sure?). It’s my wife’s (saying this quietly) 40th in March, she would love them. 🙂

That is such a lovely idea! I think it’s ok to make with a bible. You’re not really destroying it just turning it into something else.
