Hi everyone, I had a bit of a weird reading week this week. I haven’t actually managed to finish anything. I started 3 books and felt a bit meh about them. I’ve almost finished the next book in the Arcana Chronicles but that’s a reread so I knew going in that I’d love it.
Fingers crossed for more successful reading next week.

Endless Knight (Arcana Chronicles #2) by Kresley Cole
“Death wants to gank me. Must be Tuesday.”
I have an hour left to go in this at the moment but it’s a reread so I’m confident in giving it 5 stars. I freaking love this book and this series as a whole!! I’m so tense for the final book!!
This instalment focuses mainly on the character of Death and what his life has been like as an immortal and the winner of the last three games. He’s one of my favourites so I really enjoy this one.
Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse #2) by Charlaine Harris
“Sookie, my little bullet-sucker”
Eric, my big bullshitter”
Since I enjoyed rereading the first book so much I decided to keep going with the series. I haven’t gotten far into it though. I’m finding it a bit slow even though it opens with a body being found at the bar!
Dark Prince (Carpathians #1) by Christine Feehan
“The trouble is not really in being alone, it’s being lonely. One can be lonely in the midst of a crowd, don’t you think?”
I’m not far into this either but I’m finding it a bit boring… Feehan’s writing style takes awhile to get used to. There are a lot of short sentences and an emphasis and telling instead of showing.
Three Mages and a Margarita (The Guild Codex: Spellbound #1) by Annette Marie
“It was worth a shot, and as the saying around here goes, you miss one hundred percent of the shots you don’t take.”
Again I found this one to be a bit boring. Pretty much everyone in my book club seems to really like it though so I think I’ll keep going with it… It just seems to be taking ages to get going and focuses mostly on world building for the first 50 pages.

I took a look at it but I don’t think I have the time to keep up with it. It does look like fun though

I know exactly what you mean—I don’t know if it’s my mood or the books I’ve chosen, but, except for one, I haven’t felt too enthused about any of them. Here’s to better reading in the weeks to come!
