I discovered this infographic on All About Romance who go it from Best by the Numbers (nice little breadcrumb trail leading to you). There are some interesting little titbits on how each generation compares reading wise. I wan’t surprised to see that Millennials read the most books since we had Harry Potter, Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey release during our influential years and, man, did those books cause a stir?! It makes sense that that would lead to a lot of avid readers.
I was a bit surprised to see that people read more print books than eBooks. It doesn’t surprise me that people prefer print to eBooks just that they’re actually read more. I know I read more eBooks than print because they’re so convenient and I read a lot of series. I guess people who read less often or gravitate more towards bestsellers and standalone’s would read more print because you encounter print books more in daily life (in the grocery store, newsagent, etc.). That’s just my theory though.
Check out the infographic below and let me know what you think. Which generation do you belong to? Click on the image below to view the infographic.
This is fascinating! I do love infographics. I’m not too surprised that we all consume news online now, it’s more accessible. I wonder if we’ll see newspapers slowly disappear soon.

Very interesting. I personally prefer print books to ebooks. I’ve read a lot of ebooks lately and my eyes and hands are longing for a hefty hardcover behemoth of a book.
