My reading has been so bad lately. I felt I hadn’t read enough to warrant a wrap-up post in September or October but if I continue like that we’ll never get to chat about books! So I’m going to include the books I read then in this wrap-up and we can finally discuss them.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
It’s not a nice book but it will certainly make you feel something. I read this in October for the Victober readathon. It was my second reading and I decided to listen to an audiobook narrated by Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey. I enjoyed it even though the characters annoy the shite out of me.
Once Upon a Winter’s Eve by Tessa Dare
I always get festive vibes in late October/early November and want to read and watch Christmas themed stuff. I then loose interest in it all by December. I read this during that phase. It’s a short story set in Dare’s Spindle Cover series but it can be read as stand-alone though several characters from previous books are mentioned. You don’t need to know anything about them to enjoy this. It was a fun little story about a couple reuniting after unknown circumstances caused them to part.
Till Death by Jennifer L. Armentrout
This is not my normal type of book at all. I hate crime and thriller books but since Armentrout wrote it and she is fabulous, I decided to give it a go. She’s a fabulous writer that manages to weave in just the right amount of thriller and romance to satisfy me. I swear this woman can’t write a bad book! At least, I haven’t encountered it yet….
This book follows Sasha on her return home after 10 years when she escaped a serial killer. The killer is dead but then women start to go missing again….
The Vagina Book from Thinx
I mentioned this in my favourites for October. It describes itself as “an owner’s manual for taking care of your down there” which is the perfect descriptor. I’ve read a few books on this topic and I love this one for it’s approachable language and acceptance that gender isn’t related to sex.
The Christmas Key by Lori Wilde
Another one of those Christmas books I read during my festive vibes stage. This town has a thing where if you sleep with one of their Christmas key’s under your pillow you will dream of your soulmate. So, these guys dream of each other before they meet. I know with romance you always know the couple is going to end up together but it’s kind of less fun when the couple is aware of that too.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
I haven’t fully formed my thoughts on this book yet but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It gives a wonderful heartfelt look at loneliness, love and going after the things you want even when there’s a hefty price attached.

Where to Find Me
Based on your description of the vagina book I would recommend “Fruit of Knowledge: The vulva vs. the patriarchy” by Liv Stromquist. It’s a really short, non-fiction graphic novel and it’s amazing!

Thank you!!! It’s a great one to read even though it isn’t a particularly pleasant book.

I know! I don’t want to sound weird or anything….but I probably will. I just want to read this book because of that quote – “whatever our souls are made of ….”
I do that sometimes. 😅😅😅

I’ve never read anything by the Bronte sisters so I definitely need to change that, and I need to read Addie too!
