Good evening, my friends, we recently got a new fridge freezer with way more freezer space than our previous one so I decided to stock it up with some home-baked goodies. Some of these goodies did come from mixes but I still did the baking!!
The banana bread recipe I use is so delicious. If you only get one thing of value from this video, let it be that! Also, I’m thinking I messed up in several areas with the brioche… I just realised today that I used the wrong type of flour in addition to everything else. Oh well, mistakes help us learn.
Recipes
Odlums Irish Farmhouse Brown Bread
Food Processor Brioche Bread
- 250g strong white flour
- 125ml milk
- 20g butter
- 40g sugar
- 14g fresh yeast
- pinch of salt
- 1 beaten egg
Mix the yeast with the milk and leave to rest for 1 minute. Put the yeast and milk mix into a food processor with a dough attachment along with the flour, salt, sugar and butter. Process for 1 minute. Transfer the dough to lightly floured mixing bowl, cover with cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes. Transfer to a floured and buttered loaf tin and prove in a very low temperature oven for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven, brush with the beaten egg and turn oven to 180c. Bake for approx. 20 minutes.

The fact I’ve never had banana bread is starting to get a bit ridiculous
