Not sure who created this one but I found it on yna the mood reader.
1 – What do you like about buying new books?
Adding more stock to my never ending stash of books.

2 – How often do you buy new books?
I buy at least one book every month usually an ebook. I buy print books every few months and usually second hand books.
3 – Bookstore or online book shopping: which do you prefer?
I really miss browsing bookshops but at the moment it’s all about online shopping. To be honest I usually buy online anyway because it’s cheaper and I read mainly ebooks. I am trying to shop in more Irish stores instead of Amazon but the lure of their prices is often too strong.
4 – Do you have a favourite bookshop?
The Book Centre in Waterford has been my favourite bookshop for many years now. I’ve been there only once since I moved to Cork 8 years ago but it’s still my favourite. Even with all the changes it’s made, it’s still such a comfy cosy spot to read with a coffee or get lunch with friends.
5 – Do you pre-order books?
I very very rarely pre-order a book. I usually only buy a book when I’m about to read it but if it’s a collector’s edition or some other form of special release I may pre-order it. I sometimes pre-order an ebook I’m excited about.

6 – Do you have a monthly buying limit?
My whole life is in a buying limit! My max spend for books is €20 a month which I am saving up at the moment to buy some Persephone Books.
7 – How big is your wish list?
My Goodreads wishlist has 48 books. My Kobo wishlist has 122 books. My Amazon wishlist has 8 books which are mostly cookbooks.
8 – Which three books from your wish list do you wish to own right now?
- Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
- The Vagina A Literary and Cultural History by Emma L. E. Rees
- Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters

Where to Find Me
This is such a fun tag! We have pretty similar answers except from I mainly buy in person and secondhand rather than online, meaning that I’ve not bought many books lately!

New books do feel and smell better! I opened one of my second hand book yesterday to discover a squished spider inside, yuck!

Ugh that’s the risk for a great find that people take. Still though that’s a rough one haha

Before Covid I used to LOVE to wander in the bookstore for hours.. now I gotta say I do prefer their website more 🙊
I like that you have the « buyers of this also liked » category, and that the barrier between french & english books is no more- having so many less shelf space in our french section make it harder to browse, and so much more handy to find what you’re looking for via online.
