Happy Friday, dear friends. Man, this week went by fast! I spent most of my time doing housework and rearranging furniture. I chose new homes for my small kitchen appliances and made some freezer meals. It was a slower week on the reading front though. I didn’t start a new book until Wednesday and haven’t gotten too far into it. Oh, I also set up a new reading spot for myself in the corner of the living room. It’s very cosy with fluffy blankets and a little coffee table. I’m quite happy sitting there reading with my cup of tea. I’ve jumped back into reading some urban fantasy this week with The Witch with No Name by Kim Harrison. My, god, it has some opening! Straight into the action no messing around. It’s the 13th book in the series so I guess we don’t need to mess around anymore. It was meant to be the final book as well so there’s probably a lot more action on the way.
What are you reading this weekend?

The Witch with No Name by Kim Harrison

It’s Rachel Morgan’s ultimate adventure . . . and anything can happen in this final book in the New York Times bestselling Hollows series.
Rachel Morgan has come a long way from her early days as an inexperienced bounty hunter. She’s faced vampires and werewolves, banshees, witches, and soul-eating demons. She’s crossed worlds, channeled gods, and accepted her place as a day-walking demon. She’s lost friends and lovers and family, and an old enemy has unexpectedly become something much more.
But power demands responsibility, and world-changers must always pay a price. Rachel has known that this day would come–and now it is here.
To save Ivy’s soul and the rest of the living vampires, to keep the demonic ever after and our own world from destruction, Rachel Morgan will risk everything. . . .

I just finished up Tea with Jane Austen, I’ll be reading a chapter each day of The Count of Monte Christo (which I’m loving) and I’m hoping to read Passing by Nella Larsen too! 50 pages into that atm

Glad you’re enjoying Monte Cristo. I’ve put off reading it cause it’s quite a big book!

I’ve been reading just a chapter a day with a friend, which is how I got through War and Peace! But I’ve been wanting to read more than just 1 chapter each day because it’s so good!

Love this. I’m listening to Delicious by Ruth Reichl and book reading The Gown by Jennifer Robson. Pretty bummed my library requests weren’t available so I went with what’s on my shelf

Pity about your library requests but I hope you’re enjoying your books 🙂

I hope you’re enjoying them all. I enjoyed Red Queen and am interested in As Old As Time. I haven’t read any of those Disney villains books yet.

This one is my favorite so far. But I love Beauty & the Beast so that might be influencing me 😂
