Well, I was well and truly bitten by the reading bug this Spring! I have read waaaay more than usual, especially in March. I’m not complaining though. I have very much enjoyed this reading frenzy! Normally, I post seasonal wrap-ups every 3 months but this one had to be broken up so here is part 1. Let me know your thoughts on the books I read in the comments.

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Oh man, I loved this! From Blood and Ash was good but it’s this book that really grabbed me. I am now in love and slightly obsessed. My main issue with From Blood and Ash (Poppy was a stupid pain in the ass on occasion) was totally resolved in this book and the story just gets so much better.

War by Laura Thalassa
I absolutely loved Pestilence (book 1) and even though many people said it was darker than War, I found War to be darker. I thought he enjoyed his mission more and seemed way less redeemable than Pestilence. I wasn’t sure I would click with the characters but I ended up enjoying this. Thalassa is pretty good with the villainous love interests.

The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout
LOVED IT! This is the third book in the Blood and Ash series. We get so much expansion of the world with this one. It becomes so much more than Poppy and Hawke and I love it.

The Other Half of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
My full review of this beaut will be up on April 22nd. This is Frost’s first book in the Night Huntress series, Halfway to the Grave, told from Bones’ perspective. I think you need to have enjoyed Halfway to the Grave before reading this or it may not be worth reading. You should definitely read those books though. Bones is an absolutely delicious character.

Book Lovers by Emily Henry
Amazing and wonderful and I can’t wait to reread it. My full review will be up on May 3rd. This is my favourite book by Henry. Beach Read can feck off, Book Lovers is it now.

These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan
This was mostly a cover buy….. the artwork is just beautiful and I love how it gets across that a love triangle is going to be a major aspect of the book without having her hanging out of one of them. Luckily, I really enjoyed the book but if you don’t like love triangles you should probably stay away cause it is a heavy one.
