Hey there, lovely readers! Can I just say, I’m thrilled to bid farewell to April. Not because it was bad, quite the contrary! April was a blast (stay tuned for my April favourites where I spill all the details). But honestly, I’m itching for summer vibes, and May is nudging us ever closer to those sunny days.
So, here we are, kicking off a brand-spanking-new series of monthly wrap-up posts. Think of it as a mishmash of all things fresh from the month. It’s not just about what I’ve been reading or hauling, but a delightful blend of those and more. We’ll be diving into the goodies I’ve snagged this month, as well as catching up on the latest buzz from the blog and my Etsy adventures. Ready to dive in? Let’s roll!
Book Haul
This month, I stumbled upon some seriously intriguing reads. Now, brace yourselves, because I’ve veered away from my usual romance spree (I know, shocking!) and ventured into darker territories. First up, “My Dark Vanessa” by Kate Elizabeth Russell. It delves into the fictional but all too real scenario of a teenage girl entangled in a relationship with her much older male teacher. Sadly, it’s a narrative that echoes reality far too often.
But fear not, romance junkies, I haven’t abandoned ship completely! I snagged “Be Still My Heart” by Emily McIntire and Sav R. Miller. Picture this: a romantic suspense novel, a detective, an ex-SEAL, and a hefty dose of hate-to-love tension. Plus, it was a bargain at just ā¬1, and McIntire’s Instagram posts had me sold!
And last but certainly not least, “Ghost Station” by S.A. Barnes. This sci-fi horror gem has me itching with excitement. I’m a sucker for sci-fi horror flicks, so it’s about time I gave the book version a whirl. I can’t wait to dive in and get lost in its spine-chilling world.

Game Haul
Hey, quick heads up! If you’re into gaming, there’s this awesome bundle called “Down on the Farm” on Humble Bundle, and it’s only sticking around for a few more days. Trust me, it’s a steal! You’ll find eight adorable farming games in there that are just oozing with charm and fun.
Even if you’ve already got a couple of the games in your library, grabbing the whole bundle is still a cracking deal. Seriously, Humble Bundle consistently knocks it out of the park with their offers. Remember a few months back when they had that bundle of Graphic Audio paranormal audiobooks? Absolute gold.
I’ve dipped into their game bundles a few times too, and I’ve never been disappointed. So yeah, if you haven’t checked out Humble Bundle yet, I highly recommend giving it a whirl. You never know what treasures you might find!
Etsy Haul
Lately, I’ve been immersing myself in spring hues and imagery, but you know me ā always planning ahead! I’ve got my sights set on my next project, diving deep into that dark academia aesthetic. And let me tell you, I’ve stumbled upon some absolute gems that’ll fit right in.
One standout is the Leather Luxe paper pack from Junk with Steph. I mean, talk about sophistication! Those papers are just begging to be transformed into stunning spreads in my journal. I can already picture it ā moody, atmospheric, and oh-so-eloquent. Watch out, world, the dark academia vibes are coming!

Whew, it’s been a bit of a hustle this month with a massive digital project on my plate. But hey, I still managed to squeeze out one shiny new kit!
