  3. That Anna Quindlen quote has been part of my automatic email signature on my personal email for years. Yet, every time I see it “out in the wild” I’m struck anew by how much I adore that quote.

  4. I so agree with that first one, Elaine. I teach children and “There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom” (Louis Sachar) so successfully adds to the character of the “villain” as you read it, that all those who may feel like they are like the “villain”, or know somebody who is like that, get to understand a well-rounded, well-crafted character and maybe eventually empathise. I love authors who do that. Or we could go on to “Of mice and Men”… but that would be a long one…
