You get tasked with creating a required reading list for your country’s national curriculum. Which book would you add first, and why?
I think I would add something by someone like Marian Keyes. A contemporary Irish author that doesn’t write about Ireland in a depressing way because so freaking many of the books about Ireland are depressing. Our history is important but so is seeing and discussing the positive aspects of our country.
What do you most look forward to doing when the pandemic is over?
Going on holidays in another country. I can’t wait to go on a plane to somewhere warm and sunny and visit touristy spots again.
If you desperately needed warmth and only had books on hand, which one would you sacrifice to light a fire?
If I was desperate I would sacrifice any and all of them. The stories exist outside of the format used to tell them.
Which really cool skill would you love to master one day?
I would love to be fluent in another language but actually learning one is pretty low on my to-do list.
Name a book you haven’t read yet but are really excited for!
I’m very excited to start Middlemarch by George Elliot. It’s a bit of a tome so I keep putting it off but I’m looking forward to reading it.
If you could travel back to one point in time, when and where would you go?
No one point stands out to me but I would love to travel back to my early 20’s. They were so much fun!
What’s an interesting fact about you that many of your followers probably don’t know?
Oh, man, these questions are always so difficult to answer! Well, most people probably don’t know that I’m claustrophobic and once had a panic attack at the entrance to a tourist cave because it was so narrow. Not sure how interesting that is but there you go 🙂

Thanks so much for participating! 😊 I loved your answers, and I’m totally with you on wanting to travel once the pandemic is over!
Also, I really hope you enjoy Middlemarch! The beginning is kind of slow and it takes a while to sort out the abundance of characters on your head, but once the story gets going, it’s so enjoyable! I can’t wait to see what you think of it 🤗

I find that’s often the case with Victorian novels. So many characters all the time lol!! I’m looking forward to reading it.
