My Rating: ★★★★★

Review: LOVED THIS! I expected another straight forward fantasy YA but each time I thought I had this book figured out, it surprised me. It seems like your typical chosen one young adult fantasy with a Romeo and Juliet style romance but it’s more an exploration of this fantasy world told through this couples struggle to be together.

Longley does an amazing job at reeling you in with the story and all it’s little subplots. It’s a binge-worthy book and I can not wait to read the next one. I’ve already signed up for her mailing list to get my hands on a prequel novella.
